One of my Favorite Actors Michael Clarke Duncan has died at the very young age of 54 nearly 2 months after having a Heart Attack on July 13.   Michael Clarke Duncan was well known for his Larger than life persona and many starring roles in major films including The GREEN MILE with Tom Hanks.

Rest In Piece Big Guy, would have Loved to had you act out here at DarkSyde Acres Haunted House just one time!

Our thoughts and Prayers are extended to Mr. Duncan’s Family and friends in this time.

While on a run to purchase more Paintball supplies for our Zombie Paintball challenges, I drove past a Roadside attraction in Jackson,  It was adorned with a Jack o’lantern and a Fish, yep That caught my attention! Turns out the attraction is the www.Indianbrookfarms.com  Trout Hatchery,  and they do a wonderful halloween seasonal event too!

Indian Brook Farms, offers educational programs designed to enlighten Kids of all ages, from 3-99 🙂

They offer alot of FREE activities such as a Kiddie Maze, Wagon ride~Tour, Petting zoo, Feed show, and Fish Hatchery tour.  They also offer Fishing aand Fish Cleaning and during October they Sell Pumpkins, and have a Corn Maze, a HAUNTED Corn Maze and a HAUNTED Barn.

This was a Pleasant surprise for me, and I plan on stopping out at the Indian Brook Fish Farms again!

Speaking of fish, Did I mention that they have a Fish Fry Dinner EVERY FRIDAY!    

Big Rich, Atalie and I just got back from spending the day down at the Hillsdale Chamber of Commerce Carshow and Summerfest, held at the Hillsdale county fairgrounds. It was packed with hundreds of  cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, you name it , it was probably there. We Entered Big Rich’s FrankenTruck to represent The Haunted House, trying to remind people that Haunted Houses arent just for Halloween.

As always the Big Red truck drew a crowd of looky loos to ooo and awwww over its awesomeness raising awareness of DarkSyde Acres haunted House in Jonesville Michigan. Atalie got herself one of her Favorite treats, an Elephants ear… Poor little Elephants all over the world are missing their ears due to this inhumane delicious treat! Speaking of TREATS Big Rich was the high bidder on a dozen of Rumours cupcakes, some of which were topped with BACON! mmmmmm mmmm Good!

Big Richs Picks of the Day were a beautiful custom Chopper and a hot Marbleized blown 32 coupe, Atalies Pick of the day was a awesome old style stick steering wood truck on Bicycle styled wheels  with a name plate calling it a rambler.  As for me, I was still drawn to the Old Mopars and was really happy to see a 1970 Superbird making the rounds.

Special mention goes out to the big F350 that got damaged in thursdays storm… Man I know how that feels to have something bad happen right before a big show, way to make light of the situation with a lil note!

Hopefully we will continue making the rounds to the community events with DarkSyde crew and Hopefully they will see once and for all we arent all just a bunch of monsters out here.   Here are a few pics  from the show enjoy!

Woke up bright and early and took Big Richs Big Red Frankentruck to claim a spot in the park for the big car show! I’m pretty sure it was the biggest entry there… dwarfing all other cars, trucks, baby carriages….  As always the carshow was a huge hit, with ALOT of classic cars, custom cars, bad ass trucks, motorcycles, good music, good food, lots of great people and we even seen some off roaders  from Bundy Hill off road park representing!

Once we wrapped up auditions for DarkSyde Haunted House and Halloween Attractions here in Michigan, we loaded up a few car loads and headed back down to the truck to do alil promoting of our own, Darksyde style!  I think some of the crowd is finally getting used to seeing our ultra tamed down version of our minions at the public events off season… 🙂

JACKSON, MI — When her son exclaimed he found a piece of a fingerin his Arby’s junior roast beef sandwich last week, Jamie Vail thought the 14-year-old was goofing around.

He wasn’t.

In his last bites, Ryan Hart said he tasted something like rubber. It was tough to chew, and he said he spit the piece of flesh from his mouth.

“I was like, ‘that gots to be a finger,’” he said Wednesday evening from his Blackman Township home.

“I was about to puke… It was just nasty.”
